Many people have asked me why I became a travel agent. I think the better question is why do I travel? The truth is I LOVE to travel to new cities, states and countries. I enjoy experiencing different cultures, trying new foods, embracing history and building relationships with others, whether we are traveling together or people I meet while traveling.

The first time I traveled outside of the US was 20 years ago. I went on a mission trip to Argentina with my church to teach English to Latin American missionaries. What an incredible experience to travel and embrace another culture. We spent several weeks living together and got to know each other's backgrounds and life experience with very little common language. I LOVED IT! What a gift for me to be opened to the world outside of my little community. What better way to experience a new destination than to learn from people who actually live there? I came back changed. When I returned, I told my husband that "I want to travel EVERYWHERE!"

In the next 20 years, we began to travel, especially to Europe including Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Ireland and England. We ventured outside of our home state of Pennsylvania to visit places like Texas, Arizona, California, Maine, North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida, just to name a few. We hosted exchange students and adults in our home and I taught English to French students for several summers. I also had the amazing opportunity to go on another mission trip to teach English, this time to Ethiopia, Africa. With each new experience, I have learned about other cultures, exploring communities and customs that are new to me, plus I made lasting friendships and beautiful memories.

That is why I travel. That's why I design trips so my clients can see the world, build connections and make memories.
